Bebop Scales method and Play-along CD
(How to Understand, Practice and Use) by Scott Black
This CD book in PDF format will help you understand and learn to create your own jazz solos! Bebop scales are the use of 1/2 steps in scales and modes to transform them into clear harmonic ides that "spell" chords. "Bebop Scales" will help you understand why the solos on this page use chromaticism as they do and understand how to practice to make your own solos sound better. The new play-along CD features 6 songs that follow the chapters in the book. There are 2 versions of each song one with just rhythm section and one with a quintet with solo transcriptions included in play-along manual. CD features Brice Winston/tenor sax, Robbie Lee/piano, Pete Swan/drums and Scott Black/trumpet & bass.

CDs are available at the Tucson Community Music School or can be purchased on line using the links below.
